Hello!  My name is Terri and I'm the breeder of Libre Winds Australian Shepherds.  Having been raised in an Aussie-loving home with a dedicated blue merle bi named "Freckles" and while spending summers playing at my cousins' home where Cousin Merril and Uncle Ogee raised Aussies for the family farms, Australian Shepherds have played a major role throughout my life.  In the 1960's, my Uncle drove to Denver, Colorado (from the family farmstead in South Dakota) to purchase our family's first Aussie and that dog proved to be the foundation for many generations of excellent Aussies to come!!! 

Over the years, I've been involved in programs with other kennel owners and friends; raised, trained & showed my own Aussies, worked with many other breeds outside of the Aussie breed and also worked as a professional groomer.  My love for dogs has been my life's passion!!!  Throughout all my many varied canine endeavors and experiences, time and time again, the Australian Shepherd has proven to be MY breed!  I cannot imagine a life without them!  They are the truest and most loyal dogs on earth!  The exceptional intelligence, versatility, sensitivity and loyalty of this breed makes them extraordinary Service Dogs as my own Aussie girl proved by saving my life many times over during her lifetime.  In my humble opinion, if you're not living with an Aussie, you're just not living!
